Wedding Style: The Vintage Bride

September is one of the most popular months to get married. To celebrate fall as a the new wedding season, we will be highlighting different wedding styles and complementary jewelry pieces for each look. Today, we'll begin with the vintage bride style.

The vintage bride is influenced by the atmosphere and aesthetics of the early 1900s. She's into beaded, fitted gowns and statement jewelry. Her wedding is probably adorned with floral patterns, metallics, or geometric shapes. Her first dance will be a jazz classic like Etta James' "At Last" and she might opt for a band instead of a DJ.

The vintage bride is true to nostalgia. She'll need simple pieces of jewelry that speak volumes without being over bearing. For this bride, we suggest the following:

She should wear one of these statement pieces in order to not distract from her gown and overall wedding appearance. Alternately, she should wear simple, understated jewelry if her gown is very ornate.

If the vintage bride look is more your style, tell us what you think. Stay tuned for our next Wedding Style post on the Eclectic Bride
